If you're a beginner...

If you're a beginner... then this is okay. seriously try to use more motion from your subjects. camera language is good, but overusing zooms, pans and other thing hurt your story by making it unwatchable. Oh.. and please please please get away from microsoft paint. PUT IT DOWN, NOW. we don't want to have to hurt you.

get a copy of Corel Draw or something with a better palate of tools and options... there are TONS of free open source vector graphics programs out there that you could download, or just pony up and buy a copy of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Flash. it's pricey but it's worth not having your animations look terrible.

also, the story was very difficult to follow. i get it: his monitor explodes and he's upset that he has to buy a new one. but nothing that happened to him was very funny or interesting.

keep doing it though... you've got potential, and obviously you want to learn to do this animating thing.

Abracadabra123 responds:

Here the story: after the monitor blew out, Mister Sweet remembers how fun he had with his computer. Then he comes in the computer repair center to fix his computer.

It's not worth to pay $600 for softwares just for making free movies.

Thanks for the rest of the review. I'll check for free tools.

you get A+

First i want to say, Excellent choice of music. The Residents will always be one of the best bands San Francisco ever produced. to HELL with all this electropop garbage!

The animation is very fluid, and the look is stylistic and pretty unique. it reminds me of a deathmetal band's logo without the stupid names or the "suck." lol. also, the coffee stained paper backgrounds are a huge textural value-add. a lot of times i don't think people realize that something like that can make a huge difference in the feel and the outcome of the piece. just because you're using Flash doesn't mean it has to look like it came from Flash.

the only thing that i would say needs improvement is his walk cycle. it doesn't really look like he's laying foot to ground. but it's a very good start.

TheSpire responds:

Thanks, I have to fix that. I tried but it just ended up worse.
+ I'm glad you liked my choice of music.

pretty good for a start!

I did like how the zombies went for beer. that was clever! i also like the "play again" joke. i wish i had thought of that... or even knew how to apply a play again button properly. lol

anyway, i think you should go ahead and create more zombie faces... the lack of different faces kind of distracted me.

waffle842 responds:

different faces are definitly on my to-do list

I rarely give 10-outta-10s....

the art was the first thing i noticed. very nice. i like the style of the pumps. The concept is funny too. it's like "Car-rape." and then it turns into an "Ambulance-chaser" commercial, and those are always funny.

the only thing i have to say was a bit off was the cut to the ECU of the guy turning his head. that was way too fast.

other than that... this is gold. great work! let's see more!

A+

Some of these are really good, others are bad... like the "black lips" one. English classes might help you out with your grammar, also.

i liked your abstract story, and the wizard lock design was pretty nice.
