not bad for a start....
I'm just starting out, too, so i know that Flash has a STEEEEEEP learning curve. so as far as this goes, it's very good that's why i gave you a six.
on the other hand... what drags you down here is that the content is boring, unfunny, and behind the times. yes, we all know the iPad is a joke. Wired Magazine would have you think otherwise, but they are Apple fanboys... and this is coming from someone who works exclusively with Macs every day of his life. and i've enjoyed making fun of the iPad (and people who have iPads) myself... but it's been more than a month since it was "unveiled"... it's no longer a topic of derision. i mean... i'm not saying your concept is bad, it's just been done to death. especially the observation that the iPad is just a bigger iPhone. that's really the only thing that bugs me about this flash. pick a more topical Apple issue... like the new iPhone leak and how Steve Jobs is busy raping that poor programmer, Gray Powell, up his tuchus with a rusty monkey wrench while the kid's mother watches... helpless and chained to a wall that was covered in fire ants.
other than that, i can say i like the wiggly lines underneath the sunrays... that's pretty cool... and the tweening is smooth. when the sun rises, you can see past it to the alpha channel behind the art... so next time just be aware of your stage size when moving symbols/art around.
you've got mad potential.
